Upgrade Policy

All registered users, irrespective of the type of license they acquired, have a right to upgrade their products. There are two basic options for upgrading your software:

Minor Version Updates
All minor version updates are free of charge. A minor update might add small features, improvements and fix any bugs that were found in the program. Minor version updates are released frequently, usually several times a year, but we do not guarantee their exact quantity. You can know if an update is a minor one by looking at the version number. If the first part of the number hasn't changed, it's a minor update - so if you have version 2.02 of a program, then versions 2.03, 2.12, 2.22 and 2.75 would all be examples of minor version updates.
Major Version Upgrades
Upgrading to a new major version of a program requires an upgrade fee. The upgrade fee will normally be 50% of the standard product price. A major version upgrade adds lots of new features, and may even be rewritten from scratch. Major upgrades aren't released very often - typically once every 1 to 2 years. You can know if an upgrade is a major one by looking at the version number. If the first part of the number changes, it's a major upgrade. For example, if you have version 2.02, then version 3.00 is a major upgrade.
